About the Artist
A painter of edges and atmosphere.
Daniel Ibanez is a digital illustrator, painter and art educator based in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has taught digital illustration, digital painting and digital photography for 24 years. His clients include Amazon Game Studios (via El Toro Studio), Universal Music, Deutsche Grammophon and the Museum of the Bible.
His paintings are built from large, confident shapes of value and temperature, with edges left open and detail spent only where the light lands. His fine art has been shown at Abend Gallery, Taos Traditions Gallery, Rich Designs Gallery and Rendition Gallery, and in the Colorado Governor’s Show plein air exhibition. He also creates tutorials for Wacom, Rebelle, ArtRage, Domestika and ImagineFX, and has published 154 videos on his own YouTube channel.
